How to make a website for your school club
A club website gives new members one place to find out when you meet, what you're working on and how to join. Students can build it themselves in an afternoon, and it's a real project to be proud of. Here's how.
Step 1: Start from the School club template
Pick the School club template. It has a big welcome, a "When we meet" section, a place for this year's projects and a join form.
Step 2: Make it your club
Tell the AI about your club: "We're the Hillside chess club. We meet Tuesdays at lunch in room 12. Beginners welcome. Use our school colors, green and gold." Then add your projects, events or tournament results.
Step 3: Collect sign-ups
The join form asks for a name and a parent or guardian email. Once the site is published, sign-ups arrive in your Messages, so the club leader can reply.
Keep it safe for students
- Use first names only, and no photos of students unless your school allows it.
- Don't list home addresses or personal phone numbers.
- Ask a teacher to look it over before you share the link.
